Shipping & Returns

Shipping. Orders placed before 1pm PST on weekdays usually ship the same day — UPS Ground within the US, FedEx/DHL/UPS internationally (international duties and taxes are the buyer’s responsibility). Every gong is packed by the same people who selected it.

Returns. Unplayed items in original condition may be returned within 30 days (return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility; sale items and gongs played with friction mallets are final sale). Not sure it’s the right gong? Listen to our recorded audio samples, call us, or visit a showroom before you order — matching people with the right gong is what we do.

Includes gong, gong stand, and gong mallet.

A Wuhan Wind gong with the WU322 floor stand rated to hold it, plus a mallet. Ready to play out of the box.

The Wind gong is flat, untuned and has no rolled rim, and it behaves nothing like a Chau. It speaks the instant it is struck — a fast metallic crash that swells into a bright, cymbal-like shimmer and fades quickly. Players reach for it when they want immediacy rather than a slow bloom.

What's included

  • Wuhan Wind gong in your chosen size, with suspension rope
  • Wuhan WU322 gong stand — black powder-coated square steel tubing, height-adjustable
  • Gong mallet

Choosing a size

  • 18" — bright and quick. Drum kit crashes, studio colour, theatre effects.
  • 20" — the middle of the range. More body without losing the fast attack.
  • 22" — broader and louder, with a longer shimmer. Good for sound work as well as performance.

The polished face darkens and patinas with use. Most players consider that part of the instrument's character.
