From individual resonance to collective sound. Six foundational protocols, the Cosmic Octave, individual masterclass coaching and a Certificate of Completion.
from individual resonance to collective sound
The gong as instrument, resonant body and field of perception.
Integral Gong Playing approaches the gong as a musical instrument, a resonant body, a field of perception and a medium for individual and collective sound practice.
During three intensive days, participants develop fundamental gong-playing techniques and explore listening, movement, resonance, rhythm, silence, interaction, the Cosmic Octave, planetary frequencies and collective performance.

Individual Masterclass Coaching
Jens works directly with participants on movement, sound quality, listening, physical economy, resonance control and personal playing habits.
15:15–16:00
One Gong — Different Fields of Application
Sound concert · meditation · sound healing · therapeutic sound practice · ritual and ceremonial contexts · intuitive sound exploration. How intention, context, room, audience and duration transform the way a gong is played.
16:00–16:20
Tea Break
16:20–17:15
Protocol II — Resonant Dialogue
Foundations of duo gong playing: listening to another player · response and interaction · foreground and background · complementary dynamics · shared silence · sonic communication. How can two players become one listening system?
17:15–18:00
Integration Circle
Questions, feedback and perspectives. Reflection on the first day and preparation for Day 2.
Day 2 · 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
The Relationship
Polarity · Dialogue · Rhythm · Silence · Cosmic Resonance

Protocol V — Cosmic Resonance Lab
For each primary frequency: hear, play, compare, feel, understand, integrate. The planetary frequency becomes a practical musical parameter rather than an abstract number.
17:15–18:00
Integral Duo Performance
Two-mallet technique, rhythmic awareness, empty space, interaction, Cosmic Octave principles and musical dramaturgy. Questions, feedback and perspectives close the day.

From Data to Sound
Practical demonstration connecting TimeFreq, the Cosmic Octave and live gong performance.
11:30–11:45
Tea Break
11:45–12:30
Protocol VI — Integral Ensemble Practice
Individual responsibility · collective listening · sonic roles · musical space · rhythmic orientation · density and transparency · dynamic development · leadership and following · spontaneous composition · beginning and ending together.
12:30–13:00

Gong meditation · sound healing · concert performance · ritual · yoga and meditation · sound education · group facilitation · personal practice · interdisciplinary performance. From “How do I play the gong?” toward “What can I create with what I have learned?”
13:00–14:30
Lunch Break
14:30–16:00

your teacher
Jens Zygar
More than four decades of work with gongs, planetary frequencies, sound art and Integral Sound Practice. Jens teaches the gong as musical instrument, resonant system, meditation medium and field of human interaction, and works directly with every participant in individual masterclass coaching.
Hosted in both cities with Trey Wyatt of The Gong Shop.
optional
Personal instrument consultation
During selected breaks and additional consultation periods, participants may explore different gongs and receive individual guidance on instrument selection: musical character, frequency spectrum, playing response, intended application, meditation, sound healing, performance and personal musical preferences. The intention is to help each participant find the instrument that best supports their individual path and practice.
