This gong features the traditional Newari art of Bajra carving. Intricate designs including the Om Mane Padme Hum mantra along with Flower of Life sacred geometry.
The mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" translates to "Praise to the jewel in the lotus" or "The jewel is in the lotus," symbolizing the union of compassion and wisdom, and is a core practice in Tibetan Buddhism, invoking Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
Made from B20 bronze, this gong is truly a work of art. Each gong has a patina applied before artisans hand paint and then etch the design onto the gong.
